Sichelschmidt developed the first electric truck for use in a potentially explosive environment in 1966. We have been the market leader in this particularly demanding field of fork truck technology for many years. As well as manufacturing machines compliant with ATEX-Norm 94/9/EG for Gas-Ex-Zones 1 and 2, and dust -Ex-Zones 21 and 22, we also supply ex-protected trucks compliant with American ex-protection directives (Class 1 / Division 1 according to US NEC 500), and with the ex-directives of other countries.
